چکیده
The balance between embolic risk and bleeding represents a clinical challenge in cancer patient treatment, encouraging studies on adjuvant oncologic treatments. Thereby, this study evaluated the vitro effect of green tea extract (GTE) epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) hemostasis modulation antineoplastic melanoma cells (B16-F10) by applying platelet aggregation, angiogenesis viability cell assays. results displayed significant antiaggregant effect, corresponding to 50 80% for EGCG, respectively, compared negative control. Furthermore, both GTE EGCG exhibited antitumor effects reducing growth 25 50%, verified cellular apoptosis. Regarding angiogenesis, these substances inhibited blood vessel formation, reaching about 25% 99% at 100 μg/mL, respectively. Moreover, TNF-α stimulation evidenced VEGF IL-8 secretion inhibition 55 20% with GTE, while promoted an around 78% IL-8. indicate promising performance as option treating its side effects. Nonetheless, further are required elucidate their action mechanism clotting, death angiogenesis.

Prooxidant property of green tea polyphenols epicatechin and epigallocatechin-3-gallate: implications for anticancer properties.
It is believed that anticancer and apoptosis inducing properties of green tea are mediated by it's polyphenolic constituents particularly catechins. A number of reports have shown that green tea polyphenol (-)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) is among the most effective chemopreventive and apoptosis-inducing agents present in the beverage. Plant polyphenols are naturally occurring antioxidants...
متن کاملGreen tea extract and its major constituent epigallocatechin-3-gallate inhibit growth and halitosis-related properties of Solobacterium moorei
BACKGROUND Solobacterium moorei is a volatile sulfide compound (VSC)-producing Gram-positive anaerobic bacterium that has been associated with halitosis. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of green tea extract and its major constituent epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) on growth and several halitosis-related properties of S. moorei. METHODS A microplate dilution assay was us...
متن کاملIn vitro electrocardiographic and cardiac ion channel effects of (-)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate, the main catechin of green tea.
Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) is the major catechin found in green tea. EGCG is also available for consumption in the form of concentrated over-the-counter nutritional supplements. This compound is currently undergoing clinical trials for the treatment of a number of diseases including multiple sclerosis, and a variety of cancers. To date, few data exist regarding the effects of EGCG on the...
متن کاملAnti-Fatigue Effect of Green Tea Polyphenols (-)-Epigallocatechin-3-Gallate (EGCG)
BACKGROUND (-)-Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) is the most abundant of the green tea polyphenols that exhibit a variety of bioactivities. The objective of this study was to evaluate the anti-fatigue effect of EGCG by forced swimming exercise. MATERIALS AND METHODS The mice were divided into one control group and three EGCG-treated groups. The control group was administered with distilled wa...
متن کاملPro-oxidative effects of tea and polyphenols, epigallocatechin-3-gallate and epigallocatechin, on G6PD-deficient erythrocytes in vitro.
Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD)-deficient subjects are vulnerable to chemical-induced hemolysis if exposed to oxidative agents. Recent studies reported that green tea and its constituents might act as pro-oxidants. Our objective was to investigate effects of tea and its polyphenolic components on the oxidative status of human G6PD-deficient erythrocytes. Erythrocytes of G6PD-deficient ...
